We were excited to see what we could do with the kids, so we started by going to the Farmers Market, and then were excited to go see the Pink Fire Trucks. I was excited to have a legitimate reason to go. These firetrucks go all over the country, and happened to be in Bakersfield this weekend.
Michael didn't want his picture taken, it was the best we could do.
They let people sign on the truck in honor of survivors, Halle was excited to sign her name.
I love this picture, and these kids, they just make me happy.
The mascots, Smokey the Bear (did you know that it is against the law to use his name in vain) Hoot Pollute guy (I don't know) and the Fire Dept Dalmatian.
The cool pink firetruck. This was so fun for a girl who loves pink.
The kids got to get in the firetruck.
Kate knew just what to do.
After the firetrucks, we got a picnic lunch of happy meals and headed to the park.
I got to swing, and ended up putting Kate to sleep.

And the kids were happy to play and play, until it was time to go.
And then it was time for dinner, and we told the kids they were making dinner. We had english muffin pizzas, and let them make it just how they wanted it.
Kate loves the camera, the second you get it out, she is following you yelling Cheese.
"Uncle Bret" enjoying the day.
And Elphie loved having playmates for the weekend.
We will miss the Rasmussen's so very much, but are excited they moved somewhere fun to visit.
