Road Trip

We decided to go on a road trip, so we packed up Aurora, with lots of snacks, portable entertainment, blankets and pillows and headed on our way.

First Stop: Las Vegas, we spent 2 days in Vegas,

where we walked one end of the strip to the other.
We enjoyed the Paris facade.

We stopped at the world's largest General Store,

also known as the largest "crap" shop. Let me tell you, this place was crazy.

Windows and Doors!

Never in my life, did I think we would be so excited about

windows and doors. But here we are, we are thrilled that we have windows and doors on our first home. We are making progress on our first home. We also have a roof, and there is a shower and a bathtub inside too. We can't wait for February 1st.

Happy Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year. Amberly started out the day dressed as Kermit the Frog with a friend. It seemed fitting that Amberly be Kermit, because Kermit is so much shorter then Miss Piggy, and you can certainly see the height difference here. We lasted out 5 minutes, as it's difficult to get work done dressed as a muppet.

Bret and I donned the Pirate costumes,

and Bret wanted to cut the pumpkin with his sword.

It was super fun, and we had a great time with Michael

and Christina, dressed as Ketchup and a Hot Dog.

Christina made this awesome creation out of cupcakes.

And the answer is...

Those of you who guessed D, congratulations you passed the quiz.

The answer is in fact D, it's our dirt, and so we thought we should get to play in it.

As much fun as the other answers might be, we bought dirt.

And on February 1st of 2010, there will be a house on the dirt.

We bought a Centex Home (it is in Southwest Bakersfield), and we are very excited to finally have our own home.

Olivia

Liva, Liv,Baby, our cute niece, she has lots of names. While Brianne was here to see Makenda, we gave Olivia her birthday present.

She was very excited to open her present.

We took her to build a bear where she got to pick

her animal. She dove right in to find one.

She chose a monkey, and stuffed it, and then

gave it a bath.

it is a girl monkey.

She wanted to carry her monkey through

the mall, she carried it all the way.

Then we headed to the Pumpkin patch, but it was 105 degrees,

the adventure didn't last long.

Kenda and Olivia rode on the pumpkin "train",

it was a four wheeler pulling these buckets.

Ethan, Makenda's boyfriend had a lot of fun on the train.

MaQUEENda

My little sister Makenda, a senior at Mt. Whitney was crowned Homecoming queen last Friday at the football game. It was an exciting moment, and I was glad we ended up going to see her win, and watch her amazing reaction. After she won, Bret renamed her, she shall now be known as MaQUEENda!

She looked beautiful, and we are so proud of her.

Vamos a la playa!

So, that's what we did. Tori (Bret's sister) invited us to join her and Josh, and Kobe the puppy to go to Cayucos for the weekend. We enjoyed the nice cool weather, the fog and the break.

Ahoy Mayties!

Bret's dad Tab was married on September 12Th to Edie Reel, and they had a pirate themed wedding. We had a lot of fun getting involved with the wedding and the theme. Bret's dad built this awesome ship for the
wedding to take place on, it is so cool.

The wedding was wonderful, and a perfect way to celebrate Tab and Edie.
