We have a new member of our family, we retired "Jed" and bought "Aurora" this weekend!
We now a have a beautiful brand new car- a 2008 Ford Edge, the color is called Ice Blue, and I love it! Front of the New Car

Our friends Christina and Michael had a fun pumpkin carving party, we had snacks, good friends, and carved cute pumpkins "Gutting" the Pumpkin- ewww!

A Good Secret

If it's a good secret, you have to tell everyone you know right?

I was reading the Rachael Ray Magazine and it was talking about a secret menu at In-N-Out, now I am not crazy about In-N-Out, but it said they had a neopolitan shake, so I decided I had to have it. I have an awful sore throat and it hurts to eat, so what better reason.

It was so good, every bite was a different little treat. All you have to do is ask for it, and you can have a yummy neopolitan shake too!

Yeast...so needs to be good!

So...When we went to visit my sister she has started to make homemade bread, and after a couple of days of eating that, I thought I can do this, so upon coming home we picked up all of the ingredients to make bread and I set to it. Well, I had yeast already and so tried to make bread last Sunday, and this happened

So, we got some brand new yeast, and tried again today, and look at the beautiful loaf of homemade honey oat bread, now I can't wait for a slice of bread and some apple butter! Yum-

We did it, We're regulars!

So, some of you know that Bret's goal in life was to be a regular somewhere, he truly wanted to walk into somewhere and have them know what the order was, and what drink he wanted. So, we thought it could be accomplished at Tony's Pizza. We order the same thing every time, and it is wonderful pizza and pizza sticks. So, I accomplished being a regular, the owners wife knew me, and got mad at the other employees whenever they said my name wrong.

So, Bret and Mike went to pick up sodas the other night at Tony's, when walking in, she saw Bret and asked if he was there for the call in order, he said no, just sodas tonight. She asked where I was, and Bret told her that we were busy helping them move, and so she said that the soda's were on her tonight. That's right Four delicious sodas in styrafoam cups with crushed ice for FREE!!! We did it, we are regulars, any time you want great pizza, just go to Tony's!

On the way home...

On Saturday we headed home, back to the routine of regular life, but we had a few stops along the way... This was our ride home, an awesome 747- the plane was huge...

We had to leave Beatiful Vermont, thank you to Lauren, Ryan and Alyse for your kindness and love and for welcoming us to your home. We are grateful that we got to see you.

A rainy day in Boston!

We spent a great day in Boston, we had a lot of fun, in spite of the rain... we saw more rain in two hours then we see in an entire year in Bakersfield! We're at the top of the green monstah!!! We started out the day with a tour of Fenway.

Because it was raining so hard, we took a "Duck" tour, it took us to all of the cool sites in Boston

Let's go Red Sox...

On Thursday, we headed to Boston to go to a Red Sox Game, we were so excited to see Fenway! Bridge on the way in.

Bret took a walk in Waterbury (where Lauren, Ryan and Alyse live) in the morning for these pictures.
