Changes

Our House with our car in the driveway, we have a driveway!!
So, our address is changing, our phone number is changing, our e-mail addresses are changing, our paint color is changing, our ward is changing.

And we are excited about these changes, we have been busy in the last couple of weeks making those changes.

We said goodbye to our ward today, that was rough. We have been in the Bakersfield 2nd ward for 8 1/2 years, we have made many friends, and our testimonies have grown tremendously in the time that we have been there. We have had many callings, many prayers, and many lessons, and as we had our last sacrament meeting today, and the tears begin flowing with the many memories of being there. We are truly grateful for all that we have learned, for the many prayers that have been said on our behalf and for the many things that have been taught.

We are excited for our new adventures, with our new addresses and all of the other new changes that this move will bring for us.

We should have our keys on Tuesday and we will move to our home on Saturday February 6, 2010. This move has been a long time coming and we are so very excited for all that will come with it.

Goodbye Coco

When Mat and Bri came to town, we wanted to do something fun and so we got tickets to the Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien and had a great time.

We saw Jackie Chan and Emily Blunt, and a telenovela singer.

We had fun seeing the show, and are sorry to see Conan go, we enjoyed him while he lasted on the Tonight show.

The Last Hurrah

We have had a New Years Eve party at the Apartment every year since we have been here, and seeing as how it is the last year here, we named the party the last Hurrah. New Year's Eve Decorations

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas 2009, we decided to not have a Christmas tree this year, and so took a picture at Amberly's parents to have our Christmas Picture this year.
And this was our Christmas tree this year.
Our Christmas has turned into the movie Four Christmases, we started at Bret's Dads house on Christmas Eve.

Then had Christmas with the two of us, we shared some fun presents, Bret was very excited also to get an iphone.

Then Christmas Day with Bret's mom.

Keegan was very excited to show his muscles.
And then on January 7, we headed to Amberly's parents to continue Christmas.

We got Olivia a cute dress and Rain Boots, it seemed appropriate as she lives in Washington.
Olivia and Uncle "Cowboy", Olivia started calling Bret that, and he thinks it's cute.

Talented Makenda

Makenda is a Senior at Mt. Whitney High School and is very involved in the choir.

We went to her last Christmas show, and because she loves Bret so much, she sang his favorite Christmas song.

And after we came back from our Road Trip, I headed out to San Jose for a National Head Start Association Conference. I took four parents, and we had a great time. The local park is decorated for Christmas with fun decorations.
They even made it snow at the park.

Next Stop-Riverside!

For our next stop we went to Riverside, CA to see the lights at the Mission Inn. It was lit up beautifully, and was fun to see.

Our friends Kyle and Jennifer Mortensen came to meet us, and we were excited to have some fun with them.
We got to go a horse drawn carriage ride through the city.

Rylan and I enjoyed the carriage ride.

We went to see the Grinch who stole Christmas on Saturday in Hollywood, and so before it started we went to Graumann's Chinese Theater.

Kyle was excited to have his hands in the Governor's.

Merry Christmas from Utah

Our next stop was in Salt Lake City, UTAH. Bret had never seen Temple Square all lit up for Christmas, so we went to to see the amazing Temple. Love this picture with the temple in reflection.
