Love is...Cupcakes!

There are many ways we like to say I love you, but my favorite is with Cupcakes. There is a place called Frosting Ink and I love it very much... they have different cupcakes every day so each day is a treat! This has been a tough week and Bret has been very, very good to meand so now that I was feeling better I wanted to remind him that I loved him, with what else? A root beer float cupcake- Oh so good!!!

Olivia seems to be questioning who is holding her... Both babies were wonderful the whole time!

The reason everyone came together... to see Makenda in her musical theatre debut. She was wonderful and we are all very proud of her hard work.

Ghetto Slide

The fun event while we were all home together was Lauren's idea to have a slip and slide in the back yard. So they got tarps, Katelyn made a rope swing and off we went... Well, off Lauren, Bri, and Katelyn, apparently in the last 20 years since I attempted a slip and slide I have forgotten how to do it- overall we all had a great time- bruised and sore later!

Lawnmower Races

While the girls were here, we were all at my parent's house and apparently telling the girls to go have a race is the way my Dad has people mow the lawn. (Only my dad would have 3 lawnmowers for this very purpose), but out Lauren and Brianne went with Alyse in the snuggly and off to the races, I chose to photograph to capture memories for ever... and Bret got to stay in the nice air conditioned house and watch with Olivia.

Fun with Family

We were so excited to get to see Lauren and Alyse, Bri and Olivia and Katelyn and Makenda.
They all traveled many miles to spend some time together and see Makenda be Cosette in Les Mis (she was amazing).

We went to Dewar's while they were here and enjoyed taffy and ice cream.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun fourth of July this year- we went and had a great BBQ at our friends and then went up to the college to see the Fireworks show, but the highlight of every year is the show that the boys put on (gotta love the pyromaniacs).

Ouch!

So, We know that Bret is a hard worker and is always willing to assist anyone in need. (One of the many reasons that I love him), but if he didn't want to help his sister move, he could have just said something instead of spraining his ankle on the second trip down the stairs. All is well, we took him to the doctor and it is just a sprain and a prescription for vicodin later and now he just get's to sit and relax.

Universal Studios

We also went to Univeral Studios for Bret's Birthday, we had alot of fun and really enjoyed the day, it was fun to see some fun new things they had added from the last time we were there. We're the Flinstones!

For Bret's Birthday Present, I got him tickets to the Dodger's game in the all you can eat pavillion...So, how many dodger dogs and lots of bottles of water later. (It was 110 degrees that day) we had a good time even though they lost the game.
