Remission Complete!

Today is the Bret's 5 year remission. I have spent a lot of time thinking about the last five years today, and as I told Bret earlier, we have had 5 Remission Dates, but this was by far the most important, as Bret is now in complete remission.

We have gone through so much in the last 5 years, who knew that at 25 Bret would be diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (a childhood cancer).

I started thinking of all the different memories of the last 5 years, we have had many.We have had truly painful moments (sleeping on the ER Floor) and me having to give Bret shots in the stomach. Then we have had funny moments, Bret on demerol is very funny, we have some entertaining stories.

We above all are so grateful for our family and friends who have spent time in the hospital, fasted, prayed and called and brought meals to the hospital (hospital food is nasty).

As we celebrate 5 years of remission, I am grateful for my husband and the challenges that he had to go through to survive, and now we celebrate, remember and fight back.

We are very excited to have Bret walk the Survivor Lap at Relay for Life in just 9 short days. If you would like more information please visit us at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/cancerdodgers
