Black Friday!

So, I have gone out shopping on Black Friday for as long as I can remember, first with my mom, then with Bret's mom, and then Jenessa- but since Jenessa left, I didn't know what to do! Katelyn and Nadia came to the rescue. They had come home from BYU-I for the week and said they would be happy to come shopping with me so long as I bought something for Katelyn. So we headed out at 5:00 a.m. and had a great time at Kohls, and Target, we went and got breakfast and headed to the mall.

Now, did you know that the Valley Plaza now has Valet Parking???? and you have to pay $5 for it, the crazy part is, people were actually paying for it, and some weren't as they snuck in when they valet was driving away, well this was crazy to me, as we live in Bakersfield for goodness sakes, it's not like we live in a "ritzy" place that uses valet. We took matters into our own hands, and Katelyn moved the tape "a little" so I had some place to park in the crazy madness and then we braved the mall, where Katelyn almost got in a fight because one little lady didn't want to move a little bit- craziness I tell you, all in the good name of saving a few dollars.

Though, we did have fun, saved some money and got some great Christmas presents, and yes I did buy Katelyn a purse that she loved.

okay Amberly, next year I'll go shopping with you. This year I took Peter with me. We left at 5:00 A.M. He did okay at Target and Wal-Mart. The mall was a different story, he was ready to go home!
